About the Author

Hello! And welcome to my blog! I wish I had some kind of theme for my blog (great advice, DIYs, etc.) but unfortunately, I'm just simply not that crafty or wise. If I could say that I was super artistic, or athletic, or musically inclined, or basically any other talent-derived descriptor, believe me, I would. But that would simply be a lie. So instead, I use my blog to chronicle all of the crazy, stupid adventures of my life! So buckle up, enjoy, and be glad that you are not put in the strange, embarrassing and overall awkward situations that I am.

Many years ago, in a time of furbies, Pokémon, and boy bands, I was born in the quiet town of Idaho Falls. The second child, and first daughter to join my family which has grown exponentially to the size of five (my parents included), I have always been the princess of the family. Okay, that's not true (although I am referred to as such from time to time--in a sarcastic manner of course). However, even though I didn't grow up in a palace with servants doting on me hand and foot, my family is as good as royalty. Seriously though, I have a stellar family!

My parents are the perfect example of hard work and dedication. Supporting me throughout every decision I have made (even when it involves me choosing to attend a school they detest, or leaving the country for three months), I know I can go to them with anything and
everything I need. Through their guidance, even though I may want to stay a kid forever, I feel prepared to enter into this crazy world and start living my own life. Although it is always nice to return home for a while to escape the tired meal cycle of Poptarts and Ramen
My older brother is one of my best friends! Well, the kind with whom I hardly see or talk to. You see, he lives in Logan and is currently attending Utah State while also maintaining a girlfriend
(hallelujah!) Haha but when he and I get together, we can talk for hours! Literally about anything! From marketing to WWII, we have had discussions about it all! And he always knows I'm here for him when he needs girl advice! Oh and if you ever find yourself playing Catchphrase against me and him, well you're going down!

My little sister, well what can I say about her? She's pretty much a doll! That girl is so fabulous and so smart and so confident and so
beautiful and I could fill this entire page with things about her! I admire her so much and love her to death even though she probably doesn't believe it! But hey, I feel it my sisterly duty to torment her! But at the end of the day, no matter how much crap I've given her, she's the only sister I'd ever want.

So that's my family....they kind of rock! And they are soooo important to me they were the first thing I thought about when thinking about myself and my life! They have taught me everything I know and have helped me get to where I am today! Which is a wacky, awkward student at BYU! (the Provo kind).

Being a BYU student, I have gotten used to hearing two different things. The first being "Oh, you're one of the smart ones." Well I guess I would consider myself to be intelligent, but believe me, I'm no rocket scientist. In any math or science class, I'm as lost as a man driving through a foreign city, claiming to not need directions. But really, school is just something I'm good at. Some people have a natural ability to play sports, I have a natural ability to excel at school. But I'm not some kind of nerd who would choose to stay home and study over going to a football game! (No disrespect to nerds).

The second thing I have grown accustomed to hearing is "BYU isn't really my scene." Those who say that are referring to the "BYU bubble." I'm here to tell you that the bubble exists. It exists and I love it! Along with my family and friends, something I hold very dear to my heart is my religion and beliefs. Being at a university which allows me to be constantly surrounded by others who have the same values and beliefs is invaluable to me! I know that it's quite different from other campuses and that not everyone is cut out for it, but I love being at BYU! And I wouldn't dream of trading my BYU education for even an Ivy League education. So say what you want about Brigham Young University, but if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all! Well, you can say it, I just won't care.

So are you bored yet?! You've made it this far in my exposé, so either you are really bored, or else you're probably related to me and feel obligated to continue reading! Haha so because you probably have more important things to be doing right now, I will try to wrap this up by giving you a rundown of what makes me, me.
